Terms of Use

Welcome to Wimzy Woo. These terms are the rules for using the app. They are written in plain English. Wimzy Woo is provided by NOVA DIGITAL TECH LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains what the app does with information.

1. What Wimzy Woo is

Wimzy Woo is one learning app for the whole family: learn anything, at any age. Every learner gets their own profile, and the app changes with their age:

• Ages 2 to 12: Sprouts (2–4), Readers (5–7) and Builders (8–12) play short lessons in Reading, Writing, Numbers and Machines, plus Game Park with 9 mini-games: 184 levels in all. Wimzy, a talking buddy, reads instructions aloud and cheers them on. Kids' screens have no AI, no chat, no camera, no outside links and no purchases.
• Ages 13 and up (VoltTech): 10 modules and 140 lessons on industrial technology, taught step by step by Volt, an AI mentor; 31 interactive labs; Snap-a-Machine photo help; job search; and a portfolio, resume builder and certificate PDFs.

2. Learner profiles and your device

There are no accounts and no logins. Learner profiles and progress are stored only on your device. So:

• Several learners can share one device. Opening a 13+ profile on a device that has a child learner requires the grown-ups gate.
• Removing a learner in the Grown-ups area deletes that learner's data. Deleting the app deletes everything.
• We can't see, back up, move or recover learner data. Your own device backup (iCloud or Google) may include it.
• A subscription belongs to your Apple Account or Google Play account, not to a learner, so you can restore it on another device.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

Some lessons are free: the first 2 levels of every kid subject, the first 4 Game Park levels, the VoltTech basics and a few Volt chats a day. The rest needs a subscription. There are two plans:

• Kids: $6.99 per month or $39.99 per year. Unlocks every kid level for every learner on your device.
• Everything: $14.99 per month or $89.99 per year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Includes Kids plus the full VoltTech tier: every module and lesson, all labs, and unlimited Volt and Snap-a-Machine.

Prices are in U.S. dollars; the store shows the price for your country. The free trial is for people who haven't had a Wimzy Woo subscription before, and the store decides who can get it.

On iPhone and iPad (Apple)

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• The Everything free trial turns into a paid subscription when the 3 days end, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
• Manage or cancel in the Settings app › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Changing plans: moving up to Everything starts right away, and Apple refunds the unused part of your Kids plan. Moving down to Kids starts at your next renewal.
• Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

On Android (Google Play)

• Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the Google Play app › your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• To avoid being charged after the Everything free trial, cancel before the 3 days end.
• Changing plans: buying the other Wimzy Woo plan replaces your current one, and Google Play credits the unused time.
• Refunds follow Google Play's refund policies. You can ask for one in Google Play; if Google Play sends you to us, email us.

For every device

• Both paywalls have a Restore button. Use it on a new or reset device signed in to the same Apple Account or Google Play account.
• If a purchase needs approval (Ask to Buy, Family Link) or a payment that hasn't gone through yet, the app shows that it is waiting for approval or payment. The plan opens once the store confirms it.
• On the kids' side, buying is only possible behind the grown-ups gate, and the adult who passes the gate is responsible for the purchase.
• If a price changes, the store tells you first, as its rules require.
• We use RevenueCat to check that a subscription is active, as described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Volt, AI and the VoltTech tier (13 and up)

• Volt is an AI. Volt and Snap-a-Machine answers are written by Anthropic's Claude AI through our own server. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are for learning only, not professional, safety, medical, legal or financial advice.
• Stay safe with real equipment. Never work on real electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or control equipment because of something the app said. Check the maker's manuals and the codes and rules where you are, follow lockout/tagout, and work only within your training and with proper supervision.
• Permission first. Before a learner's first Volt message, lesson or photo, the app asks their permission to send it to our AI server and Anthropic. They can withdraw it in Settings, and VoltTech lessons and Volt then stay off until they allow it again.
• What not to send. Don't send personal details (a full name, home address, phone number), photos of people, or anyone else's private information.
• Safety rules. Volt sticks to learning, technology and career topics and will decline other requests. Every answer has a Report this answer button; please use it if an answer is wrong or inappropriate.
• Under 13. Learners under 13 can't use Volt, Snap-a-Machine or job search.
• Fair use. Free learners get a few Volt chats a day. To keep the service working for everyone, our server limits how many requests one install can make, and we may change or pause AI features for maintenance or safety.
• Certificates. Certificate PDFs (for example "Electrical Level 1 prep") record that you finished part of the Wimzy Woo course. They are not certifications, licenses or qualifications, and Wimzy Woo is not connected to or endorsed by any certification body, trade organization, employer or government. Don't present them as official credentials.
• Job search. Live listings come from Adzuna and USAJOBS when we have switched them on; otherwise the app offers links to job-search websites. We don't check employers or listings and aren't responsible for hiring decisions, pay or working conditions. Applying takes you to outside websites with their own terms.
• Outside content. "Learn more" summaries come from Wikipedia, under Wikipedia's content license. Links open in your browser or mail app, and we don't control the sites they lead to.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Give a child under 13 the grown-ups gate answers or a 13+ profile.
• Use Volt or Snap-a-Machine to create harmful, illegal, sexual, hateful or abusive content, or try to get around its safety rules.
• Try to pull keys or secrets out of the app, overload our server, or misuse the services the app connects to.
• Copy, resell or share the app, its lessons or your subscription access.
• Present an app certificate as an official credential.

6. Our content and yours

The Wimzy Woo app, its name, characters and artwork, the kids' lessons, games and stickers, the VoltTech course, labs and diagrams, and the Volt character belong to us. You and your learners may use them for personal learning. You may not copy, redistribute or build products from them without our permission. What you create in the app, such as a resume or portfolio, is yours, and you decide where to share it.

7. Apple App Store and Google Play

• If you got Wimzy Woo from the Apple App Store, your license to use it is Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add the rules that are specific to Wimzy Woo. If the two conflict, Apple's standard agreement wins where the license is concerned.
• If you got Wimzy Woo from Google Play, Google Play's Terms of Service also apply to your purchases and downloads.
• We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app and its support.

8. No warranty and limits on liability

Wimzy Woo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for damage, injury or loss that comes from using the app. That includes AI answers applied to real equipment, job-search results, decisions based on app content, loss of learner data stored on your device, and outages of the app stores, RevenueCat, Anthropic, Cloudflare or other outside services. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that can't be waived.

9. Changes and ending

We may update the app and these terms. The "Last updated" date shows the current version, and if a change matters, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, the new terms apply. You can stop at any time by deleting the app, but cancel your subscription in the store first. Because there are no accounts, if the app is misused we may limit or turn off features, such as access to our AI server.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, and the courts located in that state handle any disputes, unless the law where you live gives you the right to go to your local courts. If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with stronger consumer protection, you keep those rights.
