Thanks for using Wimzy Woo, one learning app for the whole family: learn anything, at any age. If something isn't working, you have a question about lessons or subscriptions, or you have an idea, you're in the right place. Wimzy Woo works on iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets.
Getting started
How do I add a learner or switch between learners?
The app opens on Who's learning?. Tap a learner to start, or tap Add a learner and enter a name or nickname, an age (2–17 or 18+), a buddy and, for learners under 13, the subjects to learn. Several learners can share one device. Later, open Grown-ups in the bottom bar and tap Switch learner or Add a learner. On a 13+ profile, use Settings › Switch learner.
What is the grown-ups check, and what if I get it wrong?
Anything a child shouldn't do alone (buying, progress reports, adding or removing learners, settings, the privacy policy and terms) sits behind a short check: a multiplication written in words, such as "What is twenty-three times seven?". Type the answer as a number (161) and tap Continue. The numbers change every time. If the answer is wrong, the box clears so you can try again, or tap Cancel. The check only appears when at least one learner under 13 is set up on the device.
My child is turning 13. What happens?
Ages don't change by themselves. When you're ready, open Grown-ups › Edit [name] and change the age. From 13, that learner gets VoltTech, the teen and adult side, with its own look, lessons and labs. Volt, the AI mentor, asks the learner's permission before the first chat.
Plans and payments
What's free, and what do "Kids" and "Everything" unlock?
Free: the first 2 levels of every kid subject, the first 4 Game Park levels, the VoltTech basics and a few Volt chats a day.
Kids: $6.99 a month or $39.99 a year. Unlocks all 184 kid levels (103 lesson levels plus 81 Game Park levels) for every learner on your device.
Everything: $14.99 a month or $89.99 a year, with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. Kids plus the full VoltTech tier: every module and lesson, all 31 labs, and unlimited Volt and Snap-a-Machine.
Prices are in U.S. dollars; your store shows the price for your country. You only ever need one plan.
How do I buy a plan?
On a kid's profile: Grown-ups › Unlock all lessons, then pick a plan. On a 13+ profile: tap the upgrade banner on the Home screen, or Profile and the plan row. Payment goes through Apple on iPhone and iPad, and through Google Play on Android. We never see your card.
If the store needs approval first (Ask to Buy, Family Link) or a payment is still going through, the app says it's waiting for approval or payment. The plan opens as soon as the store confirms it.
How do I restore a plan on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account (iPhone, iPad) or Google account (Android) that bought the plan. Then tap Restore purchase on the Unlock all lessons card, or on a 13+ profile go to Settings › Restore purchases. Learner profiles don't move between devices; only the plan does.
How do I cancel?
iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app › tap your name › Subscriptions › Wimzy Woo › Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play app › tap your profile picture › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Wimzy Woo › Cancel subscription.
The Manage subscription link in the app opens the same page. You keep access until the end of the time you've paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a plan. To stop the Everything free trial from turning into a paid plan, cancel before it ends (on Apple, at least 24 hours before).
Can I switch between Kids and Everything?
Yes. Buy the other plan from the same screen. On iPhone and iPad, moving up to Everything starts right away and Apple refunds the unused part of Kids; moving down starts at your next renewal. On Android, the new plan replaces the old one and Google Play credits the unused time.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store. For Apple, go to
reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, open your Google Play order history and choose
Request a refund; if Google Play sends you to us, email us.
Kids (ages 2 to 12)
How do I see my child's progress?
With your child's profile open, tap Grown-ups, pass the check, then tap [name]'s progress. You'll see their age group, their stars and how far they are in each subject and in Game Park.
Why can't my child use chat, the camera or links?
On purpose. While a learner under 13 is playing there is no AI, no chat, no camera, no microphone, no outside links and no way to buy anything. If a child taps a locked level, Wimzy asks them to get Mommy or Daddy. Those features exist only on 13+ profiles.
The read-aloud voice or the sounds aren't playing.
Wimzy Woo speaks with your device's own voice, with no internet needed. Ages 7 and under hear instructions automatically; everyone can tap the speaker button. You can pick a voice in Grown-ups › Voice and turn music and sounds on or off there too.
iPhone or iPad: check the Ring/Silent switch (or the Action button), turn the volume up while the app is open, and make sure headphones or a Bluetooth speaker aren't still connected.
Android: turn up the media volume while the app is open, and check that a text-to-speech engine and English voice data are installed (Settings › Accessibility › Text-to-speech output; the exact menu names depend on your phone).
Does it work offline?
Yes, all the kid lessons and Game Park work with no connection. On 13+ profiles the labs work offline, but Volt, the VoltTech lessons (Volt teaches them), Snap-a-Machine, job search and "learn more" lookups need internet.
Teens and adults (13+, VoltTech)
What is Volt, and what gets sent?
Volt is an AI mentor (it runs on Anthropic's Claude through our own server) and it always says it's an AI. Before a learner's first chat, lesson or Snap-a-Machine photo, the app explains what's sent and asks permission: the messages they type and the photos they choose go to our AI server and to Anthropic to get an answer. The learner's name is never sent. Each learner can withdraw permission any time in
Settings › Volt AI. Volt's answers can be wrong, so check real equipment work against manuals and a qualified person. Please don't send Volt personal details or photos of people. The
Privacy Policy has the details.
An answer from Volt was wrong or not OK. What do I do?
Tap Report this answer under it. The answer goes to us for review, without your name, and you stay in the app. You can also email us.
Snap-a-Machine or the profile photo can't use the camera.
iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app › Wimzy Woo and turn on Camera (and Photos to pick a saved picture).
Android: the app uses your phone's own camera or photo picker; if nothing opens, check that a camera app is installed and enabled.
How do I talk to Volt instead of typing?
iPhone or iPad: tap the microphone button in the chat (the first time, allow Microphone and Speech Recognition).
Android: tap the microphone on your keyboard to dictate.
How does job search work?
When live listings are available, the job board shows current jobs; otherwise it offers links to well-known job-search websites. Jobs and websites open in your phone's browser. We don't check employers or listings.
Where do my resume and certificate PDFs go?
They're made on your device, and then your phone's share sheet opens so you can save them to Files, print them or send them. Nothing is uploaded to us. Certificates show what you finished in Wimzy Woo; they're not official certifications.
How do I start VoltTech over?
Settings › Reset progress clears XP, streak and finished lessons, and keeps the profile and any plan.
Your data
How do I remove a learner, and what gets deleted?
Open Grown-ups › Remove [name] and confirm. That learner's data is deleted from the device: name or nickname, age, buddy, subjects, stars, stickers and ratings (and for a 13+ learner, their VoltTech profile and progress). It can't be undone, and other learners aren't affected. Your plan stays active because it belongs to your store account. Deleting the app removes every learner. We don't have accounts or copies of learner data, so there's nothing to delete on our side.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?
Email
support@mixmasterpro.app with a short description, your device (for example "iPad" or "Android phone"), the learner's age group and a screenshot if you can. Please don't include your child's full name.
